Hi, my name is Bradley.
I’m this guy:
People always say: “you will make time for what’s important to you”. They say this, mostly, in reference to a relationship.
My question is: why is this not applied to every area in life?!
For example, people tell me all the time: “I don’t have time to cook or eat healthy all the time.”
My experience is: If it’s (made) important to you, you’ll find the time.
Honestly… if you applied yourself to 1-1.5 hrs of cooking per week, you could cook for 5-7 days worth of food. You could then portion and package that food in to meals, freeze them and warm them up during the week as required.
I know this to be true, because this is EXACTLY what I do.
If you say you want something, if you believe that you desire something, MAKE TIME FOR IT.
Change, or reaching a goal, can’t happen without effort. An obstacle can’t be overcome without a struggle.
It does not happen overnight. It simply cannot. Think about the typical kid learning to ride a bike. If he tried only twice and told himself “I suck at this, I can’t do it”, would he give up?? More than likely not. He will keep at it and, after a few months, he’ll be riding with no assistance.
Giving up is a learned behaviour. And, we as adults, simply give up too easily.
Today’s take-home message?
Your first few attempts may suck, but keep at it… You WILL, shock yourself.
